OK, since this is suppose to be a information gathering site, how about hearing from our members their thoughts on the new Camaro.
1) what do you like
2) what don't you like
3) do they have enought different models available
4) what other colors would you like to see
5) what other options would you like
6) pricing (to high-to low)
7) what model would you order if funds were available
if you had one, what mod's would you do first
9) what do you think of some of the super performance models now being offered through certain dealerships
10) any other thoughts
Hope you have fun with this, we need to use this site more offen, any other things you would like to discuss ?????????
I'll be waiting for your feed back...........

1) I like the styling, though I think the rear could be better, and the fact it is available.
2) Unacceptable front visibility and isolated ride, though it isn't soft. Note, I have only driven the V6 model.
3) yes
4) No answer as I don't know what colors are currently available.
5) No opinion
6) Seems like good pricing.
7) None. I don't like any new vehicle as the computer controls to much of the car.
Adjust the suspension for more road feel.
9) Too expensive. It seems like you could do the mods yourself, or pay some shop to do the mods, for less money.
10) No other thoughts. _________________ 1977 Type LT Camaro

What's up with the people that only look at these posts, don't they have a key board that they could post something, anything. Are we suppose to think that they only want to look at a post and not comment on what they think. We went to a lot of work to set up this fine website for our members and new people interested in our club.
Come on folks, lets start using this web site as intended, you can post anyting (keep it clean) from questions about cars, the club, what you would like to see on the site or anything else that comes to mind.
If you have any problems in getting on this site, let me know and I'll see what I or dave can do to fix any problems.
Believe it or not, Camaro driving season is just around the corner and we would like to hear what you would like to do in the up coming months. Would you like driving events (auto crosses, rallys, timed course's or just cruising ???? How about car shows, ours, others, in town, out of town ????
How about sporting events (base ball, bowling, bad mitten, tennis or ?????
Come on, sign in and lets hear what you have to say.
You can also call me anytime if you don't want to post

Autocross is alot of fun. The Mustang club hosts autocross at Eddyville. Very fast and looks like a lot of fun. I have watched it but haven't raced. The local SCCA club hosts autocrosses in the metro and one down at the Oskaloosa airport and are very challenging. Slower but safer, if you mess up. Hitting cones versus hitting concrete barriers or flying into ravines.
I think it would be fun to set up a cruise around the metro. I will bring up both at Sunday's meeting.
Bob, the website is always slower in the winter, though usually not this slow. Wake up everyone. Stop hibernating. _________________ 1977 Type LT Camaro

I would have posted before, but I was at a Camaro show. Winter Nationals(Ecklers).
1. Side view, LS3@430hp, V6 w/300+hp and about 30mpg
2. No vert available till NEXT summer(I know GM had their troubles but still)
3. They have two models V6 and V8, four if you consider the RS to be another model. I don't consider the 1LT and 2LT to be different models. The vert and the Z/28 would be different.
4. Dark polo green, maybe
5. Rear park assist camera, GPS
6. With the recent news about the profit per car, they could have had a low option SS available for $29,995
7. 2SS/RS with sunroof and stripe package, remote start, blue tooth stuff
8. No mods under warranty
9. I'm glad they are making them, but I'd have to win a LOT of money before I'd get one. I could buy two cars for that money.
10. I can't help but think 'what could have been' if the economy would have waited 5 years or so to 'crater' AND they would have started a 2nd shift right away.
The main part of computer control, that I don't like, is torque management |
